The storage of glass glassware should be classified into different categories for easy access. The following are some suggestions from WUBOLAB, a professional laboratory glassware manufacturer.
The pipette should be placed in a dust-proof box after cleaned.
The Laboratory burette is washed with pure water, filled with pure water, covered with a short glass test tube or a plastic sleeve, and clamped on the burette clamp.
Wash the cuvette after use, place the filter paper on a small porcelain plate or plastic plate, invert it and dry it, then place it in a cuvette box or a clean container.
It is recommended to use a string or plastic filament to pry the plug and the bottle before cleaning to avoid breaking the plug or mixing when wash glassware with grinders, such as volumetric flasks, colorimetric tubes, etc.
Grinding glassware that need to be stored for a long time should be padded with a piece of paper at the stopper and the grinding mouth to avoid sticking.
Long-term unused burettes should be removed vaseline, padded with paper and stored with piston tied by rubber band. Do not turn the mill plugs hard when there are sand grains, also do not use detergent to scrub the grinding mouth, so as not to reduce its accuracy.
Complete sets of glassware such as Soxhlet extractors, gas analyzers etc should be washed immediately and stored in a dedicated box.
